Our pay is provided at prevailing rates for equivalent work in Metro Denver. We conduct regular salary studies to ensure we offer market based, competitive compensation. For industry specialized positions, regional and national data is used.

Retirement and other savings plans

Metro offers a competitive retirement program that allows our employees to plan and save for their retirement.  Eligible employees participate in our Defined Contribution Retirement Plan with a 6 percent employer match. 

Annual Medical/Dental Expenses Incentive

Metro provides $300 for out-of-pocket costs associated with medical, dental, or vision care, or for immunizations. This may be prorated for new hires.

Flexible Spending Plan

Pay for medical, dental and dependent expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Flexible schedules with several options are available to employees including four 10-hour workdays, flexible start & end times to the workday, or compressed 9 hour days with every other Friday off (subject to supervisor approval). 
The convenience of a reliable commute and the knowledge that your day will start and end at one of our centrally located plant sites in the Denver Metro area. 
Limited work related travel allowing our employees to be available for the things that matter most to them.  
Competitive time off accruals:  
Vacation that increases with length of service:
Accrue 100 hours annually for 0 to 4 years
Accrue 120 hours annually for 5 to 10 years
Accrue 168 hours annually for 11+ years
Personal Leave Days – 24 hours per year  
Dedicated Sick Leave – 8 hours accrued each month  
Observed Holidays – 8 days per year

Journeyman Program:
Metro’s Journeyman Training Programs provide career opportunities in our Maintenance and Electrical group. These four-year programs provide a structured approach to educating and training entry-level trainees in Mechanical or Electrical and Instrumentation trades. Through a combination of college courses, trade specific training, and on-the-job training, trainees that successfully complete the program will have gained the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to be experts in their trade.
